Playbill Universe Reviews: What Are Critics Saying About Off-Broadway's Drinking in America?

Andre Royo stars in Eric Bogosian's play at the Minetta Lane that dives into the American male psyche.

Andre Royo

Critics are sharing their thoughts on Drinking in America at Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre. The Wire's Andre Royo (The 24 Hour Plays) stars in the solo show for a four-week limited engagement that began March 10 and opened March 19.

Pulitzer Prize finalist Eric Bogosian's play features over a dozen characters, all of whom are intoxicated. The comic exploration of the modern American male psyche was first performed in 1986, and now coincides with contemporary conversations about toxic masculinity and male fragility.
