Off-Broadway News Reg Rogers Joins Cast of Off-Broadway's Little Shop of Horrors December 23

The hit revival of the Howard Ashman and Alan Menken musical continues at the Westside.

Reg Rogers, most recently seen on Broadway in the hit revival of Merrily We Roll Along, heads to Skid Row December 23.

The Holiday Tony nominee is stepping into the role of plant shop owner Mushnik in the acclaimed revival of Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theatre. He succeeds Tony nominee Stephen DeRosa.

Rogers joins a cast that includes Tony nominee Sherie Rene Scott as Audrey, Nicholas Christopher as Seymour, James Carpinello as Dr. Orin Scrivello DDS (through January 5, 2025), and Major Attaway as The Voice of Audrey II.

Completing the company are Tiffany Renee Thompson as Ronnette, Daria Pilar Redus as Crystal, Morgan Ashley Bryant as Chiffon, as well as Camryn Hampton, Michael Iannucci, Weston Chandler Long, Jeff Sears, Teddy Yudain, Melissa Victor, Noel MacNeal, Johnny Newcomb, Jonothon Lyons, Hailey Thomas, Christine Wanda, and Savannah Lee Birdsong.

Previous players in the roles of Seymour and Audrey Off-Broadway have included Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard, Jeremy Jordan, Lena Hall, Maude Apatow, Gideon Glick, Rob McClure, Skylar Astin, Conrad Ricamora, Matt Doyle, Darren Criss, Evan Rachel Wood, Corbin Bleu, Constance Wu, Sarah Hyland, Andrew Barth Feldman, and RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon, who became first drag queen to play Audrey in a major production of the musical.

The Off-Broadway revival began previews September 17, 2019, prior to an official opening October 17; the production resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Director Michael Mayer's creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.

General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Sara Sahin.
