Miles Malleson's Yours Unfaithfully is currently making its U.K. premiere 90 years after it was published. Running at Jermyn Street Theatre June 1-July 1, Jermyn Street has partnered with New York's Mint Theater Company which presented the 1930s play's world premiere in 2017.
The "unromantic comedy" follows Stephen and Anne, a couple with eight happy years of marriage behind them. But Stephen, a writer, isn't writing and as he loses a spark, Anne encourages him to find it elsewhere—outside of their marriage. In an intimate look at what happens in an open marriage behind closed doors, the play explores if their marriage can survive.
Starring in the London-based cast are Laura Doddington as Anne Meredith, Guy Lewis as Stephen Meredith, Dominic Marsh as Alan Kirby, Keisha Atwell as Diana Streatfield, and Tony Timberlake as Reverend Gordon Meredith.

Jonathan Bank directs the new production. "I’m grateful to the folks at Jermyn Street Theater, who share Mint’s interest in re-discovering neglected plays, for partnering with us to make this production happen," said Bank. "Malleson had a great gift for conveying intimacy in dialogue and complexity in feeling, and I’m excited to work on this play again with an English cast, for an English audience. I expect to learn valuable lessons.” Jermyn Street Theatre is the West End's smallest producing theatre.
