Take a look at the Drama League's 2022 fall gala Embrace The Season: A Drama League Celebration with a new set of photos below. The evening, directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Mothers and Sons, Next Fall), took place at City Winery October 17 with sneak peek performances of new musicals from the 2022-23 Broadway and Off-Broadway season, as well as highlights from recent seasons.
The evening featured exclusive first previews of The Karate Kid, performed by Alan H. Green and music director Andrew Resnick, and Bliss, performed by Kayla Davion, Katy Geraghty, Gizel Jiménez, and Claire Neumann, as well as performances by Tony winner Lena Hall (Little Shop of Horrors), Helen Park (KPOP), Shereen Ahmed (A Man of No Importance), with appearances from Olivier-nominated performer Wendell Pierce (Death of A Salesman),Obie winner April Matthis (The Piano Lesson), and a special teaser from Back to the Future.
The Drama League has been an artistic resource for directors and theatre makers since 1916. The fall gala will coincide with the presentation of its annual Arts Ally Award, given to those who strengthen the foundation of the arts in the United States. The 2022 honoree is Caiola Productions, a New York-based production and investment company that is responsible for the revivals of Company and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as The Inheritance and Dear Evan Hansen.
Event production is by Ali Skye Bennet, with production management by Teresa Cruz, stage management by Karen Schleifer, music supervision by Macy Schmidt, assistant direction by Tai Thompson, second assistant direction by Andrew Coopman, and assistant stage management by Joanna Muhlfelder. Beethovan Oden is the announcer.

The evening is part of a week of performances, social practice demonstrations, classes, and discussions curated by NBT in partnership with The Kennedy Center.
Several members of Prospect Theater Company's 2018 Off-Broadway cast are set to reunite for concert presentations in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
