The New Group has revealed additional programming for their 2023—2024 season, which continues next month with the stage adaption of Sabbath's Theater. The remainder of the season will include Jordan Seavey's The Seven Year Disappear and Laura Winters' All of Me. The productions will all be presented Off-Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
Sabbath's Theater, adapted from Philip Roth's novel by Ariel Levy and John Turturro, will run October 10—December 3. Directed by Jo Bonney, it follows a disgraced puppeteer confronting his past through maddening encounters. The cast will include Jason Kravits, Elizabeth Marvel and John Turturro.
Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon will headline The Seven Year Disappear alongside Taylor Trensch. The world premiere of Jordan Seavey's play about a mother and world-famous performer who suddenly reappears after being missing will be directed by Scott Elliott. It will begin previews February 6, 2024, with additional dates, including an official opening night, announced shortly.
Laura Winters' All of Me will close out the season, beginning performances April 23, 2024, with additional dates and an opening night to be announced. The classic “boy meets girl" play using text-to-speech to connect its leading couple will be directed by Ashley Brooke Monroe. Madison Ferris (The Glass Menagerie on Broadway) and Danny J. Gomez will star, with additional casting to be announced.
