Created by Paul and Ken Daurio, Schmigadoon! lovingly lampoons the Golden Age of musical theatre. Cecily Strong and Keegan Michael Key star as a modern-day couple who stumble upon a magical, musical town in the mist. The Broadway-star-studded series also features Tony winners Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Aaron Tveit, and Jane Krakowski, Tony nominee and Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, The Light in the Piazza alum Dove Cameron, Avenue Q favorite Ann Harada, Chicago alum Jaime Camil, and Portlandia star Fred Armisen.

The first season of Schmigadoon! premiered July 16, 2021. It will return for a second season, re-christened Schmicago, and shifting its references to the musicals of the '60s and '70s.
The series also garnered Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music Composition for Christopher Willis and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program for Bo Welch, Don Macaulay, and Carol Lavallee.
