Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre has unveiled the remainder of its 2024-2025 season, which will include the U.S. premiere of Haley McGee's Edinburgh Fringe hit Age is a Feeling and The Wind and the Rain, a new site-specific piece from Sarah Gancher inspired by Brooklyn landmark Sunny's Bar.

Both productions join a previously announced season that includes the world premieres of Jordan Harrison's The Antiquities, a co-production with Playwrights Horizons and The Goodman Theatre; and Nazareth Hassan's Bowl EP, a co-production with National Black Theatre in association with The New Group. The former will run January 20-March 2, 2025, at Playwrights Horizons, and the latter will follow in spring 2025 at Vineyard, with dates to be announced.

Age is a Feeling, written and performed by McGee, is described in press notes as a celebration of "the glorious and melancholy unknowability of human life." The work was a Fringe First Award winner at the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it premiered before playing two sold-out runs at London's SoHo Theatre. Mitchell Cushman will direct the U.S. premiere. The late Adam Brace (Alex Edelman's Just For Us) was the piece's original director and dramaturg.

Performances will run September 11-October 13. Vineyard is presenting in association with Alchemation.

The Wind and the Rain: A Story About Sunny's Bar centers on the Brooklyn institution, which has served patrons in Red Hook since the 1890s. Gancher's site-specific play will literally take audiences from the Waterfront Barge Museum to Sunny's Bar itself, telling the story of the latter's more-than-100-year history. Jared Mezzocchi is directing, with En Garde Arts producing in association with Vineyard. Performances will begin in October, with dates to be announced.

Season subscriptions and a member presale for Age is a Feeling are available at VineyardTheatre.org. The Wind and the Rain will be available to Vineyard members as an add-on. Visit VineyardTheatre.org for more.
