The critically acclaimed musical adaptation of Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir Fun Home, which parallels her own coming of age as a lesbian and the suicide of her closeted gay father, officially opened on Broadway April 19 at Circle in the Square in a new in-the-round staging.
Fun Home has music by Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, Or Change; Shrek) and book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron (Well). Read reviews here.

One of my favorites of the night, Bernadette Peters showed us how to wear black and look hot doing it. The fitted Rick Owens jacket works so well with the Donna Karan urban zen dress. The Alaia shoes and Chanel bag top it off beautifully.
Love this apring floral fabric! Of course, Vanessa Hudgens created a sexy moment with the crop top and leather moto jacket. And she pulled it all together with the white clutch. I call this Spring-Moto-Sexy!
Coleman Domingo
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, Coleman Domingo! I love this suit, the color, the pattern and the way it fits him. That’s what I call making it happen on the red carpet!
Simple but chic, Patina Miller wore a short, pleated mini that showed off those hot legs. And the sheer arm on her blazer made this look fun and easy. P.S. Great pop of color on the shoe!
Maria Cuomo Cole and Kenneth Cole
This cool New York style couple seems to be red carpet regulars this season. Maria Cuomo Cole's ruffled black coat was sleek and glamorous. Kenneth Cole's pin-striped blazer and jeans with white sneakers was, as always, comfortable, contemporary and modern.
I love the jeans with the perfectly fitted blue blazer on Daniel Reichard. The bow tie and textured shirt were a great touch.
And for a more traditional moment: Mr. Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Thanks, Jesse for your plaid suit and signature bowtie. We can always count on you for a little polished moment at every event.
Pretty in purple! Love the neutral trench and, of course, the pop of color with the turquoise clutch.
Leave it to Jerry Mitchell to always come up with something polished and cool on the carpet. Love this navy textured suit and satin tie, which dressed him up perfectly for the occasion.
Miriam Shor
A great black and gold textured dress. Love the length and cap sleeve on Miriam Shor. The hair falling to one side and the makeup were lovely.
