Broadway stage veteran Stanley Wayne Mathis has joined the cast of Night of the Living N-Word, a socially relevant new comedy by Kevin R. Free, directed by Nicole A. Watson at the 2016 FringeNYC.

Mathis will be joined by Aaron Parker Fouhey (Are You Not Entertained?), playwright Free (The Fantasticks), Eevin Hartsough (Gemma & The Bear!), Romeo Lacandola and T. Thompson (The Messiah Complex).

The new play is a parody of horror movies like Night of the Living Dead, and explores conversations around the #BlackLivesMatter movement about police brutality and “blackness under the white gaze.“
