A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical has shared new footage of Nick Fradiani as the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, who took over the title role full time October 31. See his performance in the video montage above and scroll on for performances of "Sweet Caroline" and "Holly Holy."
Though the Fradiani has only been playing leading the cast for a month, he's by no means new to the production or to the role. The performer has been with the show since opening, serving as Neil Diamond - Then alternate, performing Wednesday evenings. He succeeded Tony nominee Will Swenson, who originated the role in the pre-Broadway run at Boston's Colonial Emerson Theatre.
Fradiani is the 2015 winner of the television singing competition American Idol. He is making his Broadway debut with A Beautiful Noise.
The biomusical takes a look at the life of the Grammy-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, then and now, accompanied by hits from his decades-long career in popular music. All songs are written or co-written by Neil Diamond. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs the musical, with a book by Anthony McCarten. A Beautiful Noise officially opened on Broadway December 4, 2022.
