After a year on Broadway with A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, Robyn Hurder plays her final performance in the show December 17. Amber Ardolino will succeed Hurder in the role beginning January 2, 2024.
Hurder originated the role of Diamond's second wife Marcia Murphey for the pre-Broadway run of the show at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre in June 2022. She then transferred with the show to the Broadhurst Theatre on the Main Stem, where it began performances November 2, 2022 and officially opened December 4. She received the Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Dancer in a Broadway Show for her work in the show, and was a 2020 Tony nominee for Moulin Rouge!.
A Beautiful Noise takes a look at the life of the Grammy-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, then and now, accompanied by hits from his decades-long career in popular music. All songs are written or co-written by Neil Diamond. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs the musical.

The cast of A Beautiful Noise also features American Idol winner Nick Fradiani as Neil Diamond–Then, Tony nominee Mark Jacoby as Neil Diamond–Now, and Shirine Babb as Doctor, along with Jessie Fisher, Michael McCormick, Tom Alan Robbins, and Bri Sudia.
The ensemble, swings, and standbys include Neal Benari, Jordan Dobson, Ninako Donville, Paige Faure, Kalonjee Gallimore, Samantha Gershman, Becky Gulsvig, Jess LeProtto, Tatiana Lofton, Aaron James McKenzie, Mary Page Nance, Robert Pendilla, Max Sangerman, Aveena Sawyer, MiMi Scardulla, Deandre Sevon, Vanessa Aurora Sierra, and Sean Watkinson.
Also featured on the creative team are choreographer Steven Hoggett, scenic designer David Rockwell, costume designer Emilio Sosa, lighting designer Kevin Adams, sound designer Jessica Paz, properties designer Kathy Fabian, and hair and wig designer Luc Verschueren. Jamie Harrison is the illusion consultant. Music supervision and arrangements are by Sonny Paladino with incidental music and dance music arrangements by Brian Usifer, and vocal design by AnnMarie Milazzo. Orchestrations are by Bob Gaudio, Sonny Paladino, and Brian Usifer.
