Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced Grammy winner and Tony nominee Sara Bareilles will play a benefit concert July 28 at 3 PM on the Main Stage. The concert replaces the previously announced afternoon with Gavin Creel, which has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Tickets will go on sale July 17 at 12:00 PM EST.
The Massachusetts festival has also revealed the starry lineup for its WTF Cabaret series, curated in partnership with music director Joel Waggoner and creative advisors Christopher Fitzgerald and Asmeret Ghebremichael.
Performers will include Ari Notartomaso (Rise of the Pink Ladies), Ashley Pérez Flanagan (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), Eddie Cooper (Parade), Nick Adams (Fire Island), Eden Espinosa (Lempicka), Adam Kantor (The Band’s Visit), James Naughton (Chicago), and Alysha Umphress (On The Town). The series hosts will include comedians Jaye McBride, Ashley Austin Morris, and Jordan Carlos.
The WTF Cabaret will take place over three weekends. Notartomaso, Flanagan, and Cooper will perform all three weeks. Cabarets July 25-27 will be hosted by Jaye McBride, with guest performances by Adams, Kantor, and Espinosa; August 1-3 will be hosted by Morris, with guest performances by Naughton and additional artists to be announced; and August 8-10 will be hosted by Carlos, with guest performances by Umphress and additional artists to be announced.
As previously reported, WTF's 2024 summer season also includes Sara Porkalob’s Dragon Mama, Part II of The Dragon Cycle, the world premiere of David Ives’ Pamela Palmer, Rachel Bloom's Death, Let Me Do My Show, a new comedy offering from Tony winner Alex Edelman, and more.
