New York Public Library for the Performing Arts hosts an interview of Broadway producer Pat Addiss by journalist and theatre critic Roma Torre October 17 at 6 PM. The event, open to the public, features an audience Q&A session.
Addiss has produced more than 20 shows both on Broadway and Off-Broadway, including Little Women, Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, Spring Awakening, and more. The evening is presented as part of an ongoing partnership between the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) and the Library on their Oral History Project. LPTW recently kicked off its 40th anniversary season with a birthday event September 20, and will present The Lucille Lortel Awards, The Theatre Women Awards, and the Rachel Crothers Leadership Award.
Hilbe and Ludovica Villar-Hauser currently serve as co-presidents of LPTW, joined on the leadership team by Executive Vice-Presidents Kim Marie Jones and Wendy Peace, Vice President of Membership Lynnie Godfrey, Co-Treasurers Melody Brooks and Diane Davis, and Co-Secretaries Cheryl Davis and Susan Izatt. Serving as Directors at Large are Michole Biancosino, Karen Cecilia, Christine Cirker, Annemarie Hagenaars, Tanya Khordoc, Jenna Lazar, Illana Stein, and Cynthia Straus.
Women working in the theatre industry are eligible to join the membership organization, which champions women in the field, and advocates for increased equity and access for all women in theatre.
