Industry News Hollywood Pantages Theatre Donates $125,000 to Support Those Affected by Los Angeles Wildfires

The Pantages, owned and operated by The Nederlander Organization, is splitting the donation among five organizations.

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre—owned and operated by The Nederlander Organization, the purveyor of live entertainment that also owns nine Broadway theatres—has donated $125,000 to support those affected by the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

The donation will be split among five organizations that are currently providing assistance to firefighters, first responders, and the numerous others affected by the devastation: Los Angeles Firefighters Foundation, Los Angeles Police Foundation, Entertainment Community Fund, Project Angel Food, and Broadway Cares.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating fires impacting Los Angeles and our surrounding communities,” said Jeff Loeb, president of The Hollywood Pantages Theatre, in a statement. “We are deeply grateful for the heroic efforts of our firefighters, first responders, and the countless neighbors who have stepped up to lend a helping hand during this difficult time. Your courage, resilience, and compassion inspire us all.”

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre is also encouraging others to join in supporting relief efforts. The theatre is hosting a landing page on its website, where those interested may donate. Visit BroadwayinHollywood.com/LAStrong.

This year, the Hollywood Pantages is celebrating its 95th anniversary at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine. The tour of the international hit musical Wicked is currently playing the Los Angeles venue through February 2. The production had canceled several shows due to the wildfires, although performances have now resumed. Click here for more information.
