The Broadway Sings concert series continues August 7 at 8 PM at Manhattan's Sony Hall with Broadway Sings Celine Dion.
Scheduled to belt out new arrangements of the hits of the award-winning vocalist are Eden Espinosa (Brooklyn), Eleri Ward (Only Gold), Demarius Copes (Some Like it Hot), Mia Gerachis (Kinky Boots) Natalie Joy Johnson (Kinky Boots), Tamika Lawrence (Black No More), Corey Mach (Merrily We Roll Along), Gracie McGraw, Veronica Otim (& Juliet), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Stephanie Torns (Waitress), Marty Thomas (Xanadu), Raena White (Some Like it Hot), Alexa Green (Wicked), and Kennedy Caughell (Paradise Square). (Tony nominee Lorna Courtney and Jessica Vosk both withdrew from the evening due to illness.)
The evening also features current and former stars of Off-Broadway's Titanique, including Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Carrie St. Louis plus Russell Daniels, Hannah Frye-Ginsberg, Brad Greer, Avionce Hoyles, and Nya.
The artists will be backed by an 11-piece orchestra. Attendees can
expect to hear such tunes as “My Heart Will Go On,” “The Power
of Love,” “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” and “Tell Him.” Joshua
Stephen Kartes is the orchestrator, arranger, and music director for the concert.
Broadway Sings Celine Dion is produced and directed by Mach (Waitress, Wicked).
An encore performance will be presented September 12, also at Sony Hall, with a final lineup to be announced.
