News "John Kander: Hidden Treasures" Recording, Featuring Broadway Artists, Spans 65 Years of Composer's Work "John Kander: Hidden Treasures," produced by The Musical Theater Project's Harbinger Records as part of the label’s Songwriter Showcase Series, spans the composer's work from 1950-2015.

Comprising 49 tracks, the two-CD set boasts recordings made by the composer in 1950 at Oberlin College as well as demos recorded by Kander and Fred Ebb over a 30-year period and new recordings featuring Broadway stars.

Among those heard on the recording are Kander, Ebb, Anita Gillette, Karen Ziemba, Brent Barrett, Julia Murney, Alix Korey, Barbara Walsh, Michael Winther, Lewis Cleale, Linda Emond, Paul Anthony Stewart, Greg Pierce, David Loud, John Riddle and Elena Shaddow.

Jesse Green, theatre critic of New York magazine, penned notes for the album based on interviews with the composer. The 56-page booklet also features production shots and behind-the-scenes photos.

John Kander and Fred Ebb's numerous musicals include Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink, The Visit, Cabaret and more.
