Broadway stars including Jessie Mueller, Jonathan Groff, Stephanie Miller, Capathia Jenkins, and Seth Rudetsky will ring out Voices for the Voiceless: A Concert to Benefit You Gotta Believe October 30 at the Town Hall in New York City.

The You Gotta Believe foundation specializes in helping older foster kids, 13 and over, find permanent foster homes.

The third annual Voices for the Voiceless concert will feature performances by Tony Award winner Mueller (Waitress, Beautiful, the forthcoming Carousel), two-time Tony nominee Groff (Hamilton, Spring Awakening, Netflix’s Mindhunter), Grammy Award winner Mills (The Wiz), Jenkins (Newsies; Caroline, Or Change), comedian Caroline Rhea, plus TV stars Charlene Tilton (Dallas), Willie Garson (Sex and the City), Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie), WNBC’s Janice Huff, and others to be announced.

Sirius XM Radio personality and Playbill columnist Seth Rudetsky (Disaster!) and James Wesley will co-host the 7 PM concert. Tickets, which cost $27 to $152, can be ordered by clicking here. The Town Hall is located at 123 West 43rd Street in Manhattan.

In New York City alone, there are more than 1,300 children currently awaiting adoption, with more than 700 on the verge of “aging out,” i.e. becoming too old to adopt though regular channels. Rudetsky and Wesley created Voices for the Voiceless in 2015, when they were working with the Council on Adoptable Children and You Gotta Believe to adopt a child out of foster care themselves. At that time, the organizations suffered cuts from governmental funding, and the two men decided to help solve the crisis by gathering their friends and putting on a show. The first two Voices for the Voiceless concerts reportedly raised nearly $1 million.

Rudetsky has been a special guest performer on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises. Cabins are available for Broadway on the Danube River with Michael Feinstein for November 3–13, also featuring Rachel Bay Jones, Julia Murney, Christopher Fitzgerald, Laura Osnes, Marc Kudisch, Brandon Uranowitz, and Rudetsky.

Tickets are also now on sale for Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas July 2018 cruise to Iceland, accompanied by Judy Kuhn, Christine Ebersole, Rob McClure, Jarrod Spector, Carmen Cusack, and Sierra Boggess.
