A host of Broadway favorites will be part of the third annual Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer fundraising concert May 5 at Sony Hall in Manhattan.

Benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's funding to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer, the evening of song, celebration, and solidarity will begin at 7:30 PM.

The lineup of performers is scheduled to include Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan, Krysta Rodriguez, Tony winner John Gallagher Jr., Kara Lindsay, Maia Reficco, Christine Dwyer, Matt DeAngelis, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and Sarrah Strimel Bentley.

The evening will also feature the presentation of the first Janice Award to Smash star Rodriguez to commemorate her fight against the disease and work in helping to find a cure. (Lindsay and Bentley are also breast cancer survivors.) Stage IV breast cancer thriver Tami Eagle Bowling will also present her own story.

Founded by Broadway performer DeAngelis in memory of his mother Janice, who passed from metastatic breast cancer in 2022, this annual event serves as a celebration of Janice and her love for theatre while raising money for those affected by metastatic breast cancer.

“Here we are. Year three, and this incredible event continues to grow and thrive thanks to the countless supporters who come out to celebrate the community and my mother’s legacy,” says DeAngelis in a statement, “This year, over 200,000 people in the U.S. are living with metastatic breast cancer—a staggering increase from 140,000 in 2014. This event is our way of standing in honor of all those impacted, past and present. It’s a celebration of a woman who was larger than life and so much more than just an honorary part of the Broadway community. I am so proud of how we continue to build this gathering as a space for both education and joy. With continued awareness and nonprofit support, we’re doing our part to help eradicate this disease—and prevent heartbreaking losses like mine.”

The event is executive-produced by DeAngelis and Bryan Campione with Kim Blair, Ember Productions (Amber Coates, Maxwell Haddad, and Katie Michelle Stahl), Larkin Bogan, and PJ Adzima. Jen Ash is the production stage manager, and Benjamin Rauhala is music directing.

Tickets, priced $50-$100 with general admission table seating, are now available at TicketWeb.com, while limited VIP tables are available at BCRF.org. A limited number of standing-room-only tickets will be for sale beginning April 14.
