Original Hamilton cast member Okieriete Onaodowan has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming Grey’s Anatomy spin-off that will follow a group of Seattle firefighters. This is the first major project for Onaodowan since his publicized departure from the Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 in August.
In addition to Onaodowan, the cast will also feature recent Groundhog Day star Barrett Doss, as well as Grey Damon and Danielle Savre.
In partnership with Gold House and The Asian American Foundation, the musical is aiming to raise $1 million in tax deductible donations to subsidize tickets in October.
