The track is the latest single from Monheit's new self-titled album, releasing October 18 via Club44 Records.

Acclaimed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit will release a new single from her upcoming self-titled album September 27, but Playbill has an exclusive first listen. Hear Monheit perform a jazzy cover of Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane's "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever" above.

Produced by Monheit and Rick Montalbano, Jane Monheit will release in full October 18. Pre-save here.

The album looks to Broadway for much of its song list. Along with "On a Clear Day," the release will include Monheit's takes on "Green Finch and Linnet Bird," "Not a Day Goes By," "Young and Foolish," and "Too Close for Comfort."

Monheit is backed by Montalbano on drums, Max Haymer on piano, Karl McComas Reichl on bass, Kevin Winard and Tiki Pasillas on percussion, and Joel Frahm on saxophone, along with The Nashville Recording Orchestra.

Joel Lindsey is executive producer.
