Cast Recordings & Albums Center Stage Records Releases Grumpy Old Men World Premiere Cast Recording

The album features performances from Ed Dixon, Mark Jacoby, Leslie Stevens, and more.

The world premiere recording of Grumpy Old Men, a new musical by Dan Remmes, Neil Berg, and Nick Meglin, is now available from Center Stage Records. The musical features a book by Remmes, music by Berg, and lyrics by Meglin. This recording features the cast of the musical's 2018 run at Maine's Ogunquit Playhouse.

Adapted from the 1993 film of the same name, Grumpy Old Men follows Max and John, aging neighbors who have been feuding for most of their lives. When both men take a liking to their beautiful new neighbor across the street, they face off as romantic rivals. The musical made its world premiere at Canada's Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in 2011. The title reemerged in 2017 with an invitation-only industry reading in NYC, which led to it joining the Theatrical Rights Worldwide licensing catalogue. Ogunquit premiered the reworked version in 2018, which was followed by a production at California's La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts.

The cast recording features performances from the Ogunquit cast, including Ed Dixon, Mark Jacoby, Leslie Stevens, Sally Struthers, and Hal Linden, with Brenda Braxton, Doug Eskew, Kevin Massey, Laura Woyasz, John Battagliese, Blake Hammond, Eric Jon Mahlum, Kelly Methven, James Taylor Odom, Heather Jane Rolff, Brooke Singer, and Christina Tompkins.
