Originally slated to conclude August 14, the stage adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's best-selling novel The Little Prince will now close May 8. The production is currently planning an international tour, with details to be announced.
Directed and choreographed by Anne Tournié, the show opened April 11 at the Broadway Theatre, following runs in Paris, Sydney, and Dubai. The work features aerial artistry in its story of a young hero on his journey to self-discovery.
The show features an adapted libretto by co-director Chris Mouron and original music by Terry Truck. Lionel Zalachas leads the cast in the title role, along with Mouron as The Narrator, Aurélien Bednarek as The Aviator, Laurisse Sulty as The Rose, Adrien Picaut as The Businessman, William John Banks as The Switchman, Antony Cesar as The Vain Man, Marcin Janiak as The Lamplighter, Srilata Ray as The Snake, Dylan Barone as The Fox, Marie Menuge as The Drunkard, and Joän Bertrand as The King.
Ensemble members include Christian Denice and George Sanders with Iris Beaumier, Pawel Walczewski, and Madison Ward as alternates.
The production features video design by Marie Jumelin, costume design by Peggy Housset, lighting design by Stéphane Fritsch, sound design by Tristan Viscogliosi, video projection by Etienne Beaussart, hair and makeup design by Carmen Arbues Miro, and props design by Aurélie Gandilhon.
