Bloomingdale's is kicking off the holiday season with the reveal of its annual window display November 16 at 6 PM. Comedian Amber Ruffin, Tony-nominated book writer of Some Like It Hot, will host the event, in partnership with Broadway Cares, at Bloomingdale's 59th Street flagship store in New York City.
This year's Best Holiday Ever display is inspired by the look, feel, and magic of Wonka. The windows will come to life with oversized candies and chocolates, full of sparkle and color.
The unveiling will feature performances by Norm Lewis (The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid) and Jessica Vosk (Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof). Jonathan Groff, currently starring in Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway, is also set to appear.
Following the sidewalk window unveiling event, there will be several customer experiences and exclusive activations inside the department store, including performances by Tony-honored Broadway Inspirational Voices, Emmy nominee and co-creator of fashion line S.N.O.B Preston W. Dugger III (aka DJ Duggz), Telly Leung (Aladdin), Brittney Mack (SIX), Parsons Dance, and Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (On the Town).
