The New York premiere of Willy Holtzman's Smart Blonde, starring Andréa Burns as Judy Holliday, continues in 59E59's Theater B through April 13. The new play with music, directed by Peter Flynn, charts Holliday's experiences from Greenwich Village to Broadway and beyond.
Rounding out the cast are Andrea Bianchi, Mark Lotito, and Jonathan Spivey.

The new work, about reaching middle age, is written and performed by Sora Baek, Cindy Keiter, Gabriela Kohen, Adina Taubman, and Susan Ward.
Rosie Corr will direct and choreograph the production.
James Macdonald is directing the production, a quartet of one-acts by Caryl Churchill.

The play by Emil Weinstein is based on the memoir by Abby Chava Stein, an openly transgender woman directly descended from Hasidic Judaism's founder, the Baal Shem Tov.
The piece stars Obie Award winner Jodie Markell as propagandist filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl, whose work in service of the Nazis defined the visual identity of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich.
