She Takes Flight, a new devised play about approaching middle age, will make its world premiere Off-Broadway via Chrysalis Theatre Company next month, playing the Chain Theatre May 15-June 8. May 17 will be opening night.

The new work is written and performed by Sora Baek, Cindy Keiter, Gabriela Kohen, Adina Taubman, and Susan Ward, each sharing personal stories about midlife. Kelly O'Donnell will direct.

“We’re a group of women in our late 40s to late 60s who have come together to create something healing, hilarious, and fiercely human,” says Taubman, artistic director of Chrysalis Theatre Company. “The play builds sisterhood from our shared truths—heartbreak, absurdity, and all.”

The production will feature scenic design by Ant Ma, costume consultation by Izzy Fields, lighting design by Kia Rogers, and sound design by Jeffrey Salerno. Fiona Hansen will serve as stage manager, with Xandra Abney co-producing and Rachel Saruski as associate producer.

Tickets are available at ChrysalisTheatreCompany.com.
