DESCRIPTION

The Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking a Production Stage Manager (PSM) for its upcoming non-equity Black Box New Play Festival. Co-producers: Sue Glausen and Dominic Cuskern.

The festival runs from January 12th-26th. It will feature six world premieres over two weekends. The first weekend will feature four plays which perform January 16th-19th (the performance schedule is Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30PM and Sunday at 3PM). The tech for that weekend starts on Sunday, January 12th from 6-10PM. It continues on Monday, January 13th, Tuesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 15th from 7-11PM.

The second weekend will feature two plays which perform Thursday, January 23rd-Sunday, January 26th on the above schedule. Tech for this second weekend starts on Sunday, January 19th from 7-10PM and continues on Monday, January 20th, Tuesday, January 22nd and Wednesday, January 23rd from 7-11PM.

It's a short but concentrated schedule and requires someone who can handle the hurly burly and quick pace of a festival format. In other words, the PSM should be very organized and have good people skills as the festival involves actors, directors, playwrights and designers. In addition to running tech and performances, the PSM will have some preparatory
duties.

The stipend is a one-time payment of $300.
