Wardrobe Stitchers, Wardrobe Dressers, Hair, Makeup & Wigs Personnel

JOB PURPOSE:

To support and execute the artistic vision of the Costume Design of Life & Trust as it relates to all wardrobe and clothing elements. The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for advancing the execution and build of all costumes for incoming cast; preserving the good condition of all costumes and ensuring that they are safe, well functioning, and appropriately fitted to all cast members; and in leading the Wardrobe Team. The Wardrobe Supervisor will maintain a safe and functional workspace, oversee tool maintenance, and respond to notes as they arise while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project budgetary needs for costumes, hair, makeup, and wigs.

• Maintain budgets, purchasing, and equipment.

• Assist in organization, and maintenance of costume shop equipment and promote shop safety.

• Assign and guide Wardrobe Personnel through projects and proper procedures for all costumes, hair, makeup, and wigs.

• In coordination with the Costume Designer, schedule all fittings with cast members.

• Develop long term procedures for costume maintenance for extended show run and assisting the team as needed.

• Create and maintain all paperwork and visual bible of all costumes, hair, makeup, and wigs

• Ensure a safe working environment at all times, and will report any unsafe conditions or behavior to Production Management.

• Inventory and request restocking of all relevant materials as needed.

• Responding to performance reports and working with cast members and creative team for consistency.

• Maintain all shop tools and equipment, and arrange for professional maintenance and repairs of all tools beyond the reasonable scope of the individual.

• Be independent, have an excellent attitude, and a passion for storytelling in immersive environments.

• Maintain wardrobe of any costume staff members, including bar and FOH.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

*Can complete responsibilities and duties under the following show conditions when needed*

• Strobing lights

• Continuous, large quantities of haze

• Minimal to low lighting

• Numerous trips up and down six floors,

• Ability to lift 30 lbs unaided.

• Standing for 4-6 hours at a time

$1,600.00 – $1,800.00 per week
