Hours vary depending on event/client needs - $35/hr negotiable & commensurate with experience


ABOUT US:

Perpetual Wave Productions is a team of creative and experienced technical artisans, designers, and engineers. We excel in the live entertainment and immersive experience industries, as well as providing technical expertise and support for various other industries that have a live event component to them.

POSITION:

The Event Tech Team Lead/Swing Tech will play a key role on our team, bringing order and clarity to our technical, production, and operation processes (with emphasis on live events) with impeccable communication, a strong desire to further develop their technical, project management, and organizational skills, while also directly supporting PWP leadership and colleagues. Their core responsibility is acting as the liaison/lead for on-the-ground events with emphasis on streamlining & ensuring high-quality delivery of our services in a live-event (concert) setting. They will also work directly with our core team to support, develop, and maintain technical resources and systems, distribute essential details between teams, clients, and vendors.


This role is best suited for a person who can mitigate a fast paced dynamic working environment with a passion for meticulously executed projects of a wide spectrum in size and scope. The ideal candidate would be able to work well in solo, team, and client facing environments, working most closely with our passionate and highly creative leadership, while continually finding the joy in working with teams to bring order to chaos and thrives in the ever-changing world that is live entertainment events, production, and all sorts of other artistic endeavors.


BASELINE REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- MUST have live event experience - At least 5+ years of experience in field technician work or venue, live entertainment and/or festival production, and/or equivalent roles
- Familiarity with common Sound/Lighting/Visual/IT Equipment and Systems
- Familiar with wifi & network systems, a plus if experienced in electrics/rigging in order to serve current client & project needs
- Experience in leading and/or coordinating with people in an empathetic and compassionate manner
- Comfortable with the creative process of theatre and live events along with the willingness to be a positive and supportive member of the process.
- Encourage safe & sustainable practices
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks, with the ability to address issues as they come up & plan a few steps ahead.
- Willingness to be adaptable and negotiate last minute schedule changes in an amicable manner that does not greatly degrade personal quality of life and still allows project goals to move forward
- Familiarity with common operating systems, file storage, and G Suite
- Familiarity with project management systems such as Trello & Google Tasks a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid US Driver’s License with Vehicle Preferred
- Confidence in driving a 14ft box truck is a plus.
