DESCRIPTION

Star 2B Performing Arts is seeking to hire 2 positions for our spring season, a Director and a Muisc Director for our middle school (grades 5-8) production of Beetlejuice Jr.!

Ideal candidates will have:
- experience working with young performers
- professional experience in the industry as a performer, director, or music director
- experience with classroom managemnt
- a joyful disposition
- Music Director MUST be able to play the piano

Rehearsals are held at our studio and performance space on the Poughkeepsie Day School campus. You can get to Poughkeepsie via the Metro North Hudson Line, where transportation will be provided to and from the studio. Ability to self report is a plus (particularly interested in candidates local to the Hudson Valley).

Rehearsal will be held Saturdays 2:00-6:00pm starting with auditions on 2/15 and weekly rehearsals until performacnes the weekend of June 6-8th. There will be no rehearsal Saturday 4/19. The creative team is also expected to be present for tech week, which will be in the evenings the Monday -Thursday before show weekend.
