The Verdict What Did Critics Think of Road Show at New York City Center? The Encores! Off-Center presentation, starring Raúl Esparza and Brandon Uranowitz, kicked off July 24.

Tony nominees Brandon Uranowitz and Raúl Esparza take center stage in the Encores! Off-Center presentation of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, which kicked off July 24 at New York City Center. Performances are scheduled through July 27.

The two star as Addison and Wilson Mizner, whose pursuit of fortune manifests in everything from the gold rush to the real estate boom. The Will Davis-helmed production also features Tony winner Chuck Cooper as Papa Mizner, Tony nominee Mary Beth Peil as Mama Mizner, and Jin Ha (M. Butterfly) as Hollis Bessemer.

Road Show—known formerly as Bounce, Wise Guys, and Gold!—began its long-gestating development at New York Theatre Workshop in 1999. It subsequently played Chicago and Washington, D.C., before returning to New York at the Public Theater in 2008.
