You don't have to wait for the release of Netflix's adaptation of The Piano Lesson to see Ray Fisher do a theatre project. The stage and screen star is currently leading Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's new staging of Macbeth, which began October 16 and will continue through November 17 at the Madison, New Jersey theatre. Fisher stars in the title role, sharing the stage with Erin Partin as Lady Macbeth, Clark Carmichael as Macduff, Earl Baker Jr. as King Duncan, Dino Curia as Ross, Nathan Flesh as Angus, Jordan Laroya, as Lennox, R.J. Foster as Banquo, Gerrard James as Malcolm, and Ellie Gossage, Felix Mayes, and Aurea Tomeski as The Weird Sisters.
Directed by STNJ Artistic Director Brian B. Crowe, the production features scenic design by Brian Ruggaber, costume design by Rodrigo Muñoz, lighting design by Andrew Hungerford, sound design by Melanie Chen Cole, and fight direction by Doug West. Jackie Mariani is serving as production stage manager.
