Disney is celebrating its centennial year, and that includes Broadway! Stars from Broadway and the national tours of The Lion King, Frozen, Newsies, and Aladdin—as well as the upcoming Germany production of Hercules—stopped by Good Morning America October 16 for a special mash-up performance.
Watch the special performance above. Included are moments from The Lion King's "Circle of Life," Newsies' "Carrying the Banner," Aladdin's "Friend Like Me" Frozen's "Let It Go," and Hercules' "A Star is Born."
Disney burst onto the Broadway scene in 1994 with Beauty and the Beast, adapted from their 1991 Oscar nominated film of the same name. Eventually taking over a newly refurbished New Amsterdam Theatre as part of New York City's effort to revitalize 42nd Street, the Mouse (under Disney Theatrical Productions) has gone on to bring The Lion King, Aida, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Frozen, and more to Broadway stages.
