Video: Joy Woods and Ryan Vasquez Perform 'Losing My Mind' at the Miscast 2024 Gala

Joy Woods and Ryan Vasquez, currently starring as Middle Allie and Middle Noah in Broadway's The Notebook musical, took part in MCC Theater's annual Miscast concert April 15 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Watch the duo join forces on Stephen Sondheim's Follies classic, "Losing My Mind," in the video above. The ballad features an arrangement by Will Van Dyke, and the artists are backed by Nate Brown on guitar, Allison Seidner on cello, Yuka Tadano on bass, and Dena Tauriello on drums with additional vocals by Kerri George, Camryn Hampton, and Makai Hernandez.

Miscast—the industry favorite that features Broadway stars performing songs from roles in which they might not be traditionally cast—was available for streaming online through May 12. Performers also included Nicholas Christopher, Gavin Creel, Amber Iman, Brian d'Arcy James, Mykal Kilgore, Tamika Lawrence, Ingrid Michelson, Jinkx Monsoon, Lauren Patten, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Lea Salonga, and Vanessa Williams. Will Van Dyke served as music director.

This year's concert honored MCC Youth Company alum Nicole Suazo and Jason Robert Brown, whose new musical The Connector made its world premiere via the Off-Broadway company.
