The stars turned out last night for Broadway Backwards, an annual favorite benefitting Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. The concert was held March 11 on the stage of the New Amsterdam Theatre (normally home to Disney's Aladdin).

Broadway Backwards celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, queering the musical theatre canon by inviting Broadway stars to perform show tunes normally sung by characters outside their gender identity. The evening was hosted by Tony nominee Jenn Colella.

The orchestra for the event featured Adam Rothenberg and Nick Wilders on keyboards; Ethan Pakchar on guitar; Michael Blanco on bass; Jared Schonig on drums; Dylan Schwab and Liesl Whitaker on trumpets; Julie Drombroski-Jones on trombone; Ansy Francois, Neil Johnson, and Steve Lyon on reeds; Coco Taguchi on violin; and Allison Seidner on cello.
