Featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Brown and a book by Andrew Bergman — the director and screenwriter of the original film — the musical is directed by Gary Griffin with choreography by Denis Jones.
The cast is led by Tony Danza as Tommy Korman, a widowed and unscrupulous gambler looking for another shot at love; Tony nominee Rob McClure as Jack Singer; and Brynn O'Malley as Betsy Nolan. The three artists are joined by Tony nominee Nancy Opel as Bea Singer, Matthew Saldivar as Johnny Sandwich, David Josefsberg as Tony Rocky/Roy Bacon and Catherine Ricafort as Mahi.
The creators are reportedly hopeful for a future Broadway life for the production. Performances continue through Oct. 27.
