The Off-Broadway Transport Group revival of The Patsy closes April 30, a month after beginning previews at Abrons Art Center.

The company's revival of the Barry Conners play reunites director Jack Cummings III with solo-actor David Greenspan from the work's 2011 production, and features original scenic and costume design by Dane Laffrey, original lighting design by Mark Barton, original sound design by Michael Rasbury, and dramaturgy by Kristina Corcoran Williams. Theresa Flanagan returns as stage manager.

The lead previously starred in Off-Broadway productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Punk Rock, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Boys in the Band.

The work originally premiered on Broadway in 1925 and was adapted for the big screen in 1928, starring Marion Davis and Academy Award winner Marie Dressler. The show takes place in pre-depression American and is described as a "Cinderella story" that's filled with with familial and marital drama, love heists, and country club scandals.
