Off-Broadway News Stephanie Berry Set to Lead the World Premiere of Roundabout Theatre's The Bandaged Place

The new work will play at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

Stephanie Berry will lead the cast of Roundabout Theatre Company's world premiere of the bandaged place by Harrison David Rivers. The show opens November 15 Off-Broadway at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, following preview performances which begin October 20. The limited engagement is set to conclude December 18. 

Directed by David Mendizábal, the show follows Jonah and his recovery after an assault. He realizes that in order to heal, he must mend his relationship with his loved ones. 

In addition to Berry as Geraldine Irby, the cast continues with Jake Ryan Lozano as Sam Yates, Sasha Camille Manuel as Ella Irby, Anthony Lee Medina as Ruben Torres, and Jhardon Dishon Milton as Jonah Irby.

The creative team comprises set design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, sound and original music by Mauricio Escamilla, choreography by Tislarm Bouie, and fight direction and intimacy by Rocio Mendez.

Roundabout’s New Play Initiative, Roundabout Underground, aims to discover new writers by producing New York debuts and providing production support. Previously featured playwrights include Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), Steven Levenson, Joshua Harmon, Selina Fillinger, Sanaz Toossi, and more. 

Roundabout Theatre's 2022-2023 season also includes 1776, a benefit reading of The Pirates of Penzance, the Linda Lavin-led play You Will Get Sick, The Wanderers, Primary Trust, and a North American tour of A Soldiers's Play.
