The Public has revealed details for its upcoming 18th annual Under the Radar Festival, which highlights up-and-coming theatre artists with a number of performances at venues throughout NYC. This year's festival runs January 4–22, 2023.

One of this year's planned productions performing at The Public is Jasmine Lee-Jones' seven methods of killing kylie jenner, an exploration of cultural appropriation and queerness in the internet age, running January 10–15 and 17–22. Presented in association with Washington, D.C.'s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, the work comes to NYC via London's Royal Court Theatre, where the piece ran in 2021.

Also performing at The Public are Annie Saunders and Becca Wolff's Our Country, running January 10, 13–14, and 19–22; Roger Guenveur Smith's solo show Otto Frank, running January 12–13, 15, 18, and 21–22; and Rachel Mars' solo show Your Sexts Are Shit: Older Better Letters, running January 11 and 13–15.

Under the Radar + Joe's Pub: In Concert will also make a return, offering multidisciplinary music/theatre hyrbids in the cabaret space. Titles on the lineup include LatinXoxo by C. Julian Jiménez, Bigmouth Strikes Again: The Smiths Show created and performed by Salty Brine, Julian Flesher: Under the Radar, Ezster Balint's I Hate Memory with songs by Stew, and Negin Farsad's The Case For American Exceptionalism by a Lady Muz.

The festival will also feature a number of performances at partner venues, including The New York Public Library, Brooklyn Academy of Music, La MaMa, Chelsea Factory, and NYU Skirball Center.
