Starstruck follows Cyd DeBerg, who crusades for the first International Dark Sky Reserve in the United States, attracting the attention of NPR journalist Roxanne Cooley. When Cyd begins courting Roxanne Cyrano-style on behalf of her right hand man, she and Roxanne are upended by the mysterious universe, truths hidden in darkness, and a collision course of love.
The creative team includes director Sherri Eden Barber (Hamilton), music supervisor Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), music director Bryan Perry, copyist and music assistant Chloe Geller, stage manager Kelly Martindale (Slave Play), assistant stage manager Misha Fristensky, and production assistant Maddie Lentz.
The reading is produced by Out of the Box Theatrics in association with Kevin Ryan. Starstruck was previously developed in residency at Rhinebeck Writers Retreat.
