Playbill Goes Fringe Satirical Musical Comedy Tuneabomber, About Unabomber, to Play Edinburgh Fringe

The cabaret-style show explores what a musical created by the Unabomber would look like.

The satirical musical comedy TUNEabomber, about the Unabomber, will play the Kansas City Fringe Festival ahead of its Edinburgh Festival Fringe run. The new musical previously had a one-night-only concert premiere at NYC's Laurie Beechman Theatre on July 15.

Written and performed by actor John Lampe (the national tour of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical) and composer Michael Wysong, TUNEabomber asks: What if the notorious domestic terrorist "the Unabomber" was actually just a theatre kid vying for attention? Straight from solitary confinement, he presents a musical he has written throughout his time in prison alongside his court-appointed pianist/attorney, with the audience as his parole board. Liz Power directs.

TUNEabomber will play the Kansas City Fringe Festival July 22-29. It will then head over to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a run August 21-27.
