Three original cast members of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning play Stereophonic—Juliana Canfield, Tom Pecinka, and Sarah Pidgeon—play their final performance in the production at the John Golden Theatre September 29. All three had been part of the show since its 2023 world premiere Off-Broadway.
As previously reported, Amy Forsyth will join the show in Pidgeon's role of Diana, and Rebecca Naomi Jones will play Holly, Canfield's role. Current cast member Benjamin Anthony Anderson, who presently serves as an understudy, will take over for Pecinka in the role of Peter. The new cast members will begin their new gig October 1.
Producers of the show also recently announced an extension, reportedly the final one. The show will now play an additional week until January 12, 2025.
It was also announced that Emilie Kouatchou and Denver Milord will join the show as understudies.
The cast members remaining with the play are Tony winner Will Brill, Chris Stack, Eli Gelb, and Andrew R. Butler. The show's other understudies are Cornelius McMoyler, Sofia Deler, and Lily Ganser. Casting is by Alaine Alldaffer and Taylor Williams.

Written by David Adjmi, Stereophonic follows an unnamed '70s rock band recording their sophomore album. It features original music by Will Butler, formerly of the band Arcade Fire. The show made history at the Tony Awards as the play with the most Tony nominations ever (including acting noms for departing cast members Canfield, Pecinka, and Pidgeon).
The show eventually won five Tony Awards: Best Play, Direction of a Play (Daniel Aukin), Featured Actor (Will Brill), Sound Design (Ryan Rumery), and Scenic Design (David Zinn).
