Henry 6, a two-play condensation of Shakespeare’s Henry VI, Parts I, II, and III, will also make its world premiere during their Summer Shakespeare Festival.

San Diego's Old Globe Theatre has announced their 2024 season lineup, with several world premieres and two Pulitzer Prize-winning plays slated for staging across the theatre company's three venues.

The season will begin with Sanaz Toossi's Pulitzer Prize-winning English, running January 27–February 18, 2024. The play following four adult students in a classroom near Tehran preparing for an English proficiency exam will be directed by Arya Shahi.

Next comes the world premiere of Karen Zacarías' The Age of Innocence. Based on Edith Wharton's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same title, the new stage adaption will run February 8–March 10.

On the heels of its acclaimed run Off-Broadway, Rajiv Joseph's King James will run March 9—31, 2024. The exploration of friendship against the backdrop of basketball will be directed by Justin Emeka.

The American premiere of Ride will play the venue next, running from March 30–April 28, 2024. The hit West End musical about a woman in 1895 embarking on a mission to ride her bicycle around the world features a book and lyrics by Freya Catrin Smith and music and lyrics by Jack Williams. Sarah Meadows will direct.

Melinda Lopez and Joel Perez' Stir will make its world premiere from May 4–May 26, 2024. The play about family, food, and healing follows two siblings as they reunite to share their mother's favorite recipe.

James Ijames' Pulitzer-winning Fat Ham will run May 25–June 23, 2024. The comedic Hamlet adaption set at a a Southern family cookout had an acclaimed run on Broadway last spring, for which it received five Tony nominations.

The 7 Finger's Duel Reality arrives next, making its American premiere. The circus adaption of Romeo and Juliet will run July 6–August 4, 2024.

Kate Hamill's Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B will run July 27–August 18, 2024. The reimagining of the most popular detective team of all time follows Shirley Holmes and Joan Watson across their investigative adventures. James Vásquez will direct.

Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express will run September 7–October 6, 2024 for its West Coast premiere. The classic, adapted by Ken Ludwig, will be directed by Peter Amster.

Closing out the season just in time for an early Halloween celebration, Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors arrives fresh out of its Off-Broadway engagement. Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen's comedic adaption of Bram Stoker’s classic tale will run September 20–October 13, 2024. Greenberg will direct.

Additionally, as part of the company's Summer Shakespeare Festival, Henry 6 will make its world premiere in two parts throughout the summer. Adapted and directed by Barry Edelstein, Henry 6 is condensation of Shakespeare's Henry VI, Parts I, II, and III. Part 1 will run June 30–September 14, and Part 2 will run July 9–September 15.
