Sami, the final TV project featuring the late stage and screen star Cindy Williams (Laverne & Shirley, The Drowsy Chaperone), is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Kerry O'Malley (Into the Woods, Why Women Kill) and newcomer Sami Staitman (House of Lies, The Green Room) co-star in the 10-episode short-form comedy/musical series.

Created by Grammy-nominated music producer Bruce Kimmel, Sami follows the adventures of Sami Sherman (Staitman), an aspiring actor trying to make it on Broadway. O’Malley plays Sherman's mother and Williams her grandmother.

Each episode features an original song as well as cameos by such Broadway favorites as Karen Ziemba, Brad Oscar, Liz Larsen, Walter Willison, Lee Roy Reams, Charles Busch, Jason Graae, Allie Trimm, Michael Lavine, Emerson Steele, Sal Viviano, Alet Taylor, and Angel Reda, among others.

“We’re all very excited about this new streaming series Sami,” says Kimmel. “I created the show because I love classic sitcoms of the Golden Age, including the 1970s—when there was a lot of physical comedy and each episode was usually a self-contained story following characters we fell in love with.”

Sami is produced by Kimmel’s Kritzerland Entertainment and Purple Porcupine Media.
