Performances begin June 7 for Cherry Lane Theater’s Founder’s Project and La Femme Theatre Productions’ revival of The Traveling Lady. Horton Foote’s 1955 play follows a woman driving through Texas to greet her husband coming out of prison.
The Traveling Lady is directed by Austin Pendleton and is scheduled to play through July 16. The production will officially open June 22.
The cast is made up of Larry Bull (Coast of Utopia), Lynn Cohen (Ivanov), Angelina Fiordellisi (Out of the Mouths of Babes), Jean Lichty (Nora, A Loss of Roses), George Morfogen (A Man for All Seasons), Ron Piretti (West Side Story), PJ Sosko (Jonathan’s Blaze, Row after Row), Jill Tanner (Dividing the Estate), and Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Bullets Over Broadway).
The production features scenic and lighting design by Harry Feiner, costume design by Theresa Squire, sound design and original compositions by Ryan Rumery, wig design by Paul Huntley, and dialect design and dramaturgy by Amy Stoller.
