Two-time Tony nominee Kara Young (Cost of Living, Clyde’s), currently starring opposite Leslie Odom, Jr. in the Broadway revival of Purlie Victorious, will take part in industry presentations of Douglas Lyons' new play Table 17 December 7 in Manhattan.
Part of the New Works Provincetown series, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale, the readings will be directed by Zhailon Levingston.
In addition to Young, the noon and 3 PM presentations will also feature Biko Eisen-Martin (East New York, Soft) and Michael Rishawn (Ain’t No Mo'). Brandon Weber serves as the casting director, and Alicia Thomas and Apollo Levine are understudies.

Actor-playwright Lyons has appeared on Broadway in The Book of Mormon, Beautiful, and the Tony-winning revival of Parade. As a writer, he earned a GLAAD nomination for his Broadway playwriting debut, Chicken & Biscuits.
