Hello George! Original Sunday in the Park with George stars Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters reunited at a performance of Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends, Cameron Mackintosh's tribute concert to the late legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Peters is currently starring in the West End run at London's Gielgud Theatre, while Patinkin is currently presenting a solo concert series down the street at the Lyric Theatre.
Peters, a three-time Tony honoree and one of the premiere Sondheim interpreters, created the role of Dot in Sunday in the Park with George. While Patinkin, also a three-time Tony winner, created the role of Georges Seurat. Sondheim and James Lapine's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical opened on Broadway May 2, 1984, and played 35 previews and 604 performances before closing October 13, 1985.
Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends was initially presented May 3, 2022 at the Sondheim Theatre. The encore engagement began previews September 21, 2023, with an official opening October 3. The limited run will continue through January 6, 2024. Read the reviews here.

Mandy Patinkin Live in Concert is playing in the West End through November 19. Patinkin is accompanied by Adam Ben-David on piano. The concerts are a marriage of many of the actor's favorite Broadway and classic American tunes, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim, from Harry Chapin and Randy Newman to Irving Berlin and Meredith Willson.
