Rehearsals are officially underway for Lincoln Center Theater's upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of Katori Hall's The Blood Quilt. Performances are set to begin October 30 ahead of a November 21 opening night at the company's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, with the run continuing through December 29. Lileana Blain-Cruz is directing the work, about four sisters gathering at their childhood home to create a family quilt in honor of their recently deceased mother. When her will is read, the family has to deal with a troubling inheritance. The play had its world premiere in 2015 at Washington, D.C.'s Arena Stage.
