The international hit musical Wicked, which celebrates its 20th anniversary at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre this month, is marking the occasion with a host of events and partnerships, including one with The Plaza Hotel.
Wicked fans can currently indulge in the elegance of the Manhattan venue with a Wicked-themed afternoon tea at The Plaza's Palm Court Restaurant. The “Defying Gravi-tea” features sweet and savory delights, including the “Look to the Brest’ern Sky” pate a choux, the “Flying Monkey” macaron, and Wicked cocktails. The Palm Court’s dome has also been lit emerald green.
Current Wicked stars Alyssa Fox and McKenzie Kurtz recently enjoyed the afternoon tea. Check out photos from the event below.
Wicked's Broadway cast currently features Fox as Elphaba, Kurtz as Glinda, John Dossett as The Wizard, Michele Pawk as Madame Morrible, Jordan Litz as Fiyero, Jake Pedersen as Boq, Kimber Elayne Sprawl as Nessarose, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond.
