News PHOTO CALL: The "Love Story" Goes On as Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal Reunite Over Letters Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, who co-starred in "Love Story," will star in an upcoming national tour of Love Letters, A.R. Gurney's romance about first loves and second chances. Following the Broadway revival, the national tour of Gregory Mosher's production will launch in summer 2015.

The tour will visit Los Angeles, Detroit, Boston, Dallas, Baltimore and others to be announced. A full list of cities, dates and ticket information will be announced at a later date.

The "Love Story" Goes On as Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal Reunite Over Letters


Love Letters, according to press notes, "is the story of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (O'Neal) and Melissa Gardner (MacGraw), two young people from similar backgrounds who take very different paths in life. Despite leading lives which should not intersect, they can’t let go of each other throughout their 50 year friendship, and marriages and families with other people."

MacGraw (Melissa Gardner) has been seen on Broadway in Festen, and O'Neal (Andrew Makepeace Ladd III) is known for his work on film and television. Both were Oscar-nominated for their performances in "Love Story."

Love Letters was originally produced on Broadway by Nelle Nugent, Barbara Broccoli, Frederick Zollo, Olympus Theatrical, Michael G. Wilson, Lou Spisto, Colleen Camp, Postmark Entertainment Group, Judith Ann Abrams/Pat Flicker Addis, Kenneth Teaton in association with Jon Bierman, Tim Degraye, Daniel Frishwasser, Elliott Masie, Mai Nguyen, Scott Lane/Joseph Sirola.
