News Photo Call: Mary-Louise Parker and Denis Arndt Celebrate the Opening of Heisenberg Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Heisenberg, a new play by Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time fame, officially opened June 2 following previews that began May 19. The comedic drama stars Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Proof, "Weeds") and Denis Arndt.

Directed by Mark Brokaw, Heisenberg sees Parker playing Georgie, a woman who unexpectedly kisses a much older and unknown man amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, and the electric and peculiar relationship that develops thereafter. 

Performances are at the Studio at Stage II. 

The creative team for Heisenberg includes Mark Wendland (scenic design), Michael Krass (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), David Van Tieghem (original music and sound design) and David Sugarman (production stage manager). Stephen Gabis worked as dialect consultant; casting is by Nancy Piccione. 

Stephens' play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has received international acclaim and is currently playing the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway. Heisenberg was commissioned by MTC.
